Tunecore Names Chris Mooney Senior Director Of Artist Promotions And Strategic Relationships
TuneCore, the world's largest digital distribution and promotion service, has announced that Chris Mooney will join the company June 10th as Senior Director of Artist Promotions and Strategic Relationships.
Mooney previously worked with Bjork, Brett Dennen, David Gray, and Femi Kuti as well as NPR Music on their SXSW showcases and day events in his marketing role at Sacks & Co PR; as general manager of addVice, a division of Vice; as director of sales and marketing for independent label spinART Records; as music affiliate manager for UGO.com; and as national sales assistant at Rhino Records. Most recently, he ran Mooney Marketing, managing projects for Downtown Music and Roll Call Entertainment.
Artists Mooney has worked with include The Apples in Stereo, Bon Iver, The Dears, The Decemberists, My Morning Jacket, The Pixies/Frank Black, REM, Clem Snide, Richard Thompson, Vampire Weekend and Yo La Tengo.
Mooney is a graduate of James Madison University, where he spent three years with the student-run radio station, WXJM.
