NPR Morning Edition Says 'Sing To Your Baby' Boosts Parents' Confidence

NPR Morning Edition featured a segment on 'Sing To Your Baby’ today, a collection of love songs and sing-plays that "just might boost your confidence" (NPR) in establishing a musical bond between you and your newborn.

Click the link below to hear GRAMMY award-winning children’s musician and author Cathy Fink talk about how she and her partner Marcy Marxer recorded the 11 songs in keys for both mothers and fathers, and how the songs are "zipper" songs, with lyrics that can easily be changed or personalized to work for your baby.

Parents.com also posted a piece on the project this week, which is accompanied by a beautifully illustrated 32-page page book.

"We need to use every method we can to open the lines of communication with our children," Fink and Marxer told Parents.com. “By incorporating music and singing early on, these tools will always be available to parent and child.”

'Sing To Your Baby' will further take over the airwaves in the coming weeks as SiriusXM prepares to hold a special in-studio performance recording with Fink, Marxer and a live audience of kids and adults. The duo will also visit New York to autograph copies of 'Sing To Your Baby' during BookExpo America, the largest annual book trade fair in the United States, at the Javits Center on May 24th.
