On June 1, Hill County Live will celebrate 5 years of offering NYC a slice of Texas, becoming "one the best Americana music clubs New York has seen since the heyday of the Lone Star Roadhouse" (Billboard). Since 2007, the HCL stage has hosted such renowned performers as Rosanne Cash, Bob Schneider, Dale Watson, Asleep at the Wheel, Laura Cantrell and Shooter Jennings. They'll celebrate this year's milestone with a special performance by HCL friends and fan faves Heybale, the first band to ever play the HCL stage, and the featured performer for every Hill Country anniversary since.
Heybale - 6/1 & 6/2 - This five-piece Texas country band features musicians who have played with Willie Nelson, Wanda Jackson, Merle Haggard, Brian Setzer and Johnny Cash including vocalist Gary Claxton and guitarist Redd Volkaert.
