Kenny Chesney Stars In Latest 'This Is Sportscenter' Commercial

Nearly 100,000 Fans Sway In 2nd Weekend of the ‘Brothers of the Sun’ Tour, With Kenny Chesney & Tim McGraw

NASHVILLE, TN -- Superstar Kenny Chesney takes center stage in ESPN's latest “This is SportsCenter” commercial (http://bit.ly/L0bgGl) debuting today. In the spot, Chesney tries to ignore ESPN anchor Steve Levy's zealous attempt to join him at the popular table in the ESPN cafeteria. Other special guests at the "cool table" include Pistol Pete from Oklahoma State, Smokey from the University of Tennessee, Miles from the Denver Broncos, Hook 'Em from the University of Texas and two Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders. The commercial was created in collaboration with Wieden + Kennedy New York and filmed on ESPN's Bristol, Conn. Campus.

On his experience taping the spot in Bristol, Chesney said, “I got to see a lot of the anchors I've become friends with over the years, a lot of the people who come to our shows. I love visiting the ESPN campus, and I love the relationships I have there.”

The second weekend of the ‘Brothers of the Sun’ Tour, with Chesney and Tim McGraw, played to nearly 100,000 fans in Dallas and Kansas City. More than 47,000 strong came to party at Cowboys Stadium and one of the show's emotional high points came during “Anything But Mine," when there were so many couples slow-dancing, it was like prom in the aisles as the stadium rang with the crowd singing along. “That’s the loudest that’s been all year, Texas!,” Chesney responded. Special guests included Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, Troy Aikman, and East Tennessee's own Jason Witten, who joined Kenny at the mic for “The Boys of Fall.”

Sunday, it was on to a raucous Arrowhead Stadium where Chesney exclaimed, “I could hear you guys all the way out on the bus, and I couldn't wait to get out here!” Dressed in a Royals t-shirt - KC in KC - Chesney took the crowd through nearly two hours of music including a solo acoustic version of “Old Blue Chair.”

Chesney turns his attention to next Saturday’s show at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia and to the release of his new album, Welcome To The Fishbowl out June 19. His new single “Come Over” is fast approaching Top 10. Chesney Super Room: http://bit.ly/M90mdm
