A2IM Announces Twitter and Periscope As Official Media Partners For 5th Annual Libera Awards

Live Stream Performances by Mac DeMarco (Captured Tracks), Naughty By Nature (Tommy Boy), Nosaj Thing (Innovative Leisure), and Torres (Partisan) on June 16th

 

A2IM is proud to announce Twitter and Periscope as official media partners for the 5th Annual Libera Awards. The Libera Awards are partnering with Periscope to live stream the performances and will also be hosting Twitter’s “Mirror,” backstage for winners and performers.

The 2016 A2IM Libera Awards will feature a multi-artist performance lineup, and fans of Mac DeMarco (Captured Tracks), Naughty By Nature (Tommy Boy), Nosaj Thing (Innovative Leisure), and Torres (Partisan) will be able to live-stream performances on their smart phone by downloading the Periscope App and following @A2IM. The broadcast will start at 7:10PM on June 16th.

The Libera awards will also host the Twitter “Mirror,” a tablet programmed for VIP events and adorned with a filigree frame, which will allow winners and performers to take candid photos of themselves backstage, and send them out through the event's Twitter feed (follow along on @A2IM). Twitter’s Mirror has made appearances at the Grammys, Oscars, NBA Finals, and AMAs.
