Bon Iver's '22, A Million' Debuts In Top 10 In Thirteen Countries And #1 On US Current Albums Chart
Bon Iver's '22, A Million' (Jagjaguwar) has debuted in the Top 10 in thirteen countries so far and earned rave reviews since its worldwide release on September 30. The album opened at #2 in the US, UK, Australia, Belgium and Sweden, and #1 in Canada and New Zealand. '22, A Million’ is the top selling album in the U.S. this week, and is #1 on five U.S. charts including Current Albums, Independent, Rock, Alternative and Americana/Folk.
'22, A Million' is Bon Iver's first album in five years and its best-reviewed to date. The New York Times called it “ethereally and lustrously beautiful,” and Pitchfork deemed it “truly singular” in a Best New Music review. Rolling Stone says the album “places [Bon Iver] alongside pop’s top futurists,” and in a review for NPR’s All Things Considered, critic Will Hermes said “I haven’t heard a more compelling record all year.”
