Downtown Music Publishing Signs Deal With Old Crow Medicine Show

Downtown Music Publishing has signed a worldwide publishing agreement with Grammy Award winners Old Crow Medicine Show. The signing was announced today by Downtown Nashville's Vice President, A&R, Steve Markland. This agreement covers all five of the band's studio albums, including 'Remedy' which was released on July 1, 2014 on ATO Records.

Old Crow Medicine Show, which is comprised of Kevin Hayes, Cory Younts, Critter Fuqua, Chance McCoy, Ketch Secor, Gill Landry, and Morgan Jahnig, originally got their start busking on street corners in upstate New York in the mid 1990s. In the years that followed they garnered a dedicated following, earning a Grammy for "Best Long Form Music Video" and an induction into the Grand Ole Opry.

"The band's level of excitement surrounding the release of their new album Remedy feels like an all­time high. The group was propelled to international success through their single "Wagon Wheel," a co­authorship between Bob Dylan and OCMS' Secor, who lent his own verses to the Dylan­penned chorus he unearthed from an old bootleg recording. In 2013, Darius Rucker's cover of the song reached #1 on the Billboard Country Chart and was certified 3x Platinum by the RIAA. Their current single "Sweet Amarillo" is another Dylan collaboration.
