Gretchen Peters Tops Charts, Earns Rave Reviews By Critics, Peers

In addition to 'Blackbirds' (Feb. 10) being the #1 Country album in the UK, Top 40 in UK Pop albums, Songwriters Hall of Fame member Gretchen Peters topped the Americana radio chart as most added and completed a successful street week with rave reviews from peers and critics alike.

Friend and fellow songwriter Brandy Clark says, "'Blackbirds' is another amazing example of artistry at its finest," and fellow Three Women and The Truth tour mate Mary Gauthier agrees, "'Blackbirds' is a continuation of her masterworks, a must have, and a vital contribution to the American Songbook."

Critics concur:
- "gritty, dark numbers and lush ballads" - Wall Street Journal
- "she impresses" - MOJO
- "Impact and truth are the hallmarks" - Rolling Stone
- "equipped with the ability to stop clocks with a well-turned phrase" - Uncut (9 stars)

With more than 30 dates slated through May, Peters shows no signs of slowing down with visits to major markets - New York, D.C., Philadelphia and Boston - and three major UK festivals. For a full tour schedule, please visit gretchenpeters.com/shows.
