“Mad About You” Paul Reiser Up Close And Personal Shares His Tales Of Love, Life, And The Funny Things About Relationships

A seasoned actor, writer and producer, Paul Reiser continues to add to his list of accomplishments. Having co-created and starred in the critically acclaimed NBC series MAD ABOUT YOU which garnered him multiple Emmy, Golden Globe, American Comedy Award and Screen Actors Guild nominations Reiser returned to television last year in the FX series MARRIED followed by the Amazon Series RED OAKS. RED OAKS is a coming-of-age comedy set in the "go-go" 80s about a college student enjoying a last hurrah before summer comes to an end--and the future begins. Paul plays the club president of Red Oaks, Getty.  Amazon has just announced the second season of the series to be released in 2016.

It’s been a busy time in film for Reiser as well. Following his role in Academy Award winning film "Whiplash", Reiser has a full slate of films coming up. Reiser currently appears in “Concussion" & in 2016, will be seen in "Devil in the Deep Blue Sea" with Jason Sudeikis and Maisie Williams, "Miles" with Molly Shannon, “Joshy” directed by Jeff Baena and also in John McDonagh's "War on Everyone" with Alexander Skarsgard and Michael Pena.

 

Not one to abandon his roots in stand-up, in between projects Reiser tours the country performing to sold out venues and was recently voted one of Comedy Central’s “Top 100 Comedians of All Time.”

 

2005 saw the release of "THE THING ABOUT MY FOLKS", Reiser's first original screenplay in which he starred alongside Oscar-winning actors Peter Fall and Olympia Dukakis.

 

In 2003 Reiser made his stage debut in Woody Allen’s directorial play debut WRITER’S BLOCK.

 

Reiser's successes also include his books COUPLEHOOD, which sold over two million copies and reached the number one spot on the New York Times bestseller list, as well as his follow up bestsellers BABYHOOD and FAMILYHOOD.

Born and raised in New York City, Reiser attended the State University of New York at Binghamton where he majored in Music. Reiser co-wrote the theme song from MAD ABOUT YOU with Grammy-winning producer Don Was, and in 2011 released an album of original songs with British singer / songwriter Julia Fordham called Unusual Suspects.
