‘Psychphonic’ LP Highlights “Gloriously Exuberant” Polyphonic Spree Summer Tour

The Polyphonic Spree - the "heart-thumping" and "gloriously exuberant" (NPR) Dallas collective – is set to release ‘Psychphonic’ on August 12th, a remix LP of the band’s current album, ‘Yes, It’s True’ (Good Records Recordings/Kirtland Records). Featuring remixes of every track from the 19-piece collective’s most diverse and personally charged work to date, 'Psychphonic' will hit just as the band kicks off the second leg of their coast-to-coast 'Psychphonic' 2014 summer tour.

When the Polyphonic Spree take the stage, "every song sound[s] like an anthem" (Dallas Morning News), and NPR has compared their sound to “the exuberance of a heavenly choir.”  The band is returning to the states after a worldwide tour, where their live shows have been called “not just a set, more a religious experience” (The Hearing Aid Blog) and “breathtakingly fun” (The Upcoming).

'Psychphonic' ranges from the atmospheric beats of production duo Miyamigo on “Heart Talk” to the anthemic hip-hop infused remix of “Blurry Up The Lines" from Chicago's Jel. Frontman Tim Delaughter describes the reflective “Battlefield” as his "most personal contribution," which is given the glitchy yet euphoric treatment by K-Conjog.

The Polyphonic Spree's 2014 summer tour will include 28 US cities over two-legs in July and August. Sarah Jaffe will open for the band in July. Listen to "You Don't Know Me" from 'Yes, It's True' on SXSW.com - http://shorefi.re/126CNzX
