NEW YORK, NY – The Bros. Landreth celebrates its first JUNO Award nomination this morning on top of the release of its debut album, ‘Let It Lie’ on Slate Creek Records (Brandy Clark, Angaleena Presley).

The band’s JUNO nod in the “Roots & Traditional Album of the Year” category follows the four-piece’s "New/Emerging Artist of the Year” honor from the Canadian Folk Music Awards, given late last year.

“Being nominated for a JUNO is incredibly humbling. To have our band recognized alongside our heroes and other giants is a profoundly satisfying and deeply affirming experience,” shares bassist, David Landreth.

His brother and lead vocalist/slide guitar player, Joey, adds, “As a Canadian artist trying to make it in a big world, there is no greater honor than being acknowledged by your peers at home.”

The band - based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada - is in New York City today with shows in Washington, D.C .on Thursday, Jan. 29 and Manhattan’s Mercury Lounge on Friday, Jan. 30.

Rolling Stone calls The Bros. Landreth "the best Southern-style blues” and a “standout" at the 2014 Americana Music Festival. BBC2 Radio’s Bob Harris says, “They’re brilliant! I have their CD on repeat,” and Bonnie Raitt raves, “To hear this kind of funky, southern style rock played with such originality and soul will knock you out.”

Acclaimed steel guitarist and 'Bakersfield' collaborator (Vince Gill and The Time Jumpers), Paul Franklin says, “they are world class songsmiths whose articulate sound is soul stirring.”
