San Fermin Announce New Album - 'Belong' - Out April 7 on Downtown/Interscope

“Bride” Streaming Now via TIME.com

Brooklyn-based San Fermin have confirmed details for their new album ‘Belong’ – out April 7th on Downtown/Interscope, and have shared album highlight “Bride,” streaming now via Time.com, who call the track “soaring….[with] feathery vocals, grounded with touches of rock-band sensibility”. Written and produced by bandleader Ellis Ludwig-Leone, ‘Belong’ marks a shift in songwriting style. Writing from a personal perspective for the first time ever, Ludwig-Leone confronts everything from disconnection, displacement, and—perhaps most significantly— everyday anxiety.

This sense of unrest unfolds in warm, intoxicating textures throughout ‘Belong’. On “Bride” the band juxtaposes the idyllic imagery of wedding flowers with a detailed account of a panic attack, and “No Promises” is a shimmering pop opus about the fear of disappointment. Ludwig-Leone describes “Open” as a “call from that little nagging voice telling you that you might be a bad person, or at least want bad things.”

NPR Music premiered “Open” last week, listen here: http://www.npr.org/sections/allsongs/2017/01/05/507817796/san-fermin-returns-with-open-and-a-new-album-in-the-spring

‘Belong’ showcases the band’s increasingly potent chemistry as lead vocalists Charlene Kaye and Allen Tate serve as “versatile mouthpieces for Ludwig-Leone’s prolific bursts of inspiration” (NPR Music). For Ludwig-Leone, the joy in making the album was bearing witness to the band’s evolution and newly shared consciousness.

San Fermin will tour extensively in support of ‘Belong.’ The itinerary includes one of the first-ever shows at the new NYC venue, Brooklyn Steel, on May 13, and all dates will be on sale this Friday January 13 at 10 AM local time. More info here: http://www.sanferminband.com/tour

San Fermin's 2015 album – ‘Jackrabbit’ – was a massive breakout., earning them praise from the New York Times (“explosive”) and Rolling Stone (“killer”), debut TV performances on CBS This Morning and Carson Daly, and major spotlights from NPR Music, The Wall Street Journal + more.
