Friday, August 28 – Today, GRAMMY-winning Irish-American rapper, singer & songwriter Everlast released his first album in eight years, Embers to Ashes on his own Martyr Inc Records, in partnership with Thirty Tigers and Regime Music Group (more via Variety, Billboard & SPIN). Produced by Yelawolf, mixed by Chris Lord-Alge, and with cover art by award-winning Tristan Eaton, the Americana and bluesy roots-rock album tells tales of glory grasped and lost, the sudden swerves that change a life’s trajectory, and hard-earned wisdom and warnings. 

Also out today is “Mistaken Identity,” with a music video featuring Yelawolf. “I let him just steer the ship, and he nailed it,” said Everlast on the collaboration. “And a guy like Chris Lord-Alge has done it all for everybody. When we sent the album to Wolf, he wrote me back and said I’ve never in my life said I have no notes. When you don’t want to think about it, you hire the best people.”

“It was an expected pleasure to mix the new Everlast songs,” said Chris Lord-Alge. “His vocals really take you on a journey on every song. You feel like you’re around a campfire with friends telling stories of life.”

There are two mantras Everlast keeps close: whatever’s happening is inevitable, and this too shall pass. The philosophy comes into focus on Embers to Ashes, shaped by a decade that saw his Los Angeles home burn down in the 2018 Woolsey fire, the pandemic, a divorce and more. But the seed was planted a decade before – in 2015, Everlast was in Berlin and went to check out Yelawolf. That night, Yelawolf told him he’d love to produce a record for him. Ten years later, they connected in Nashville to make Embers to Ashes, with Yelawolf producing - encouraging him to bring in co-writers like David Ray (Jelly Roll, Teddy Swims).

Maybe it’s hard to understand how the guy who recorded one of the biggest breakout hip-hop hits in history (1992’s “Jump Around” with his old group House of Pain) as well as the enduring empathy anthem of the 20th century (1998’s “What It's Like”) could go from Armand de Brignac to Canadian Club (“We went from champagne and crystal glasses to drinking cheap whiskey out of plastic,” he growls on “Stones”). After all, this is the same man who won a GRAMMY with Santana and went on to redefine rap’s relationship with blues and rock. But here’s the thing: this too shall pass. 

“There's a freedom in being broken,” says Everlast on previous single “Losing Man’s Game,” featuring intergenerational crew of Andy Frasco, Amigo the Devil and DJ Muggs (Cypress Hill) - who also produced House of Pain’s hit “Jump Around” - in the Reservoir Dogs-inspired video. “My Hollywood” is a lighter hearted take on the ups and downs of success in the entertainment world, while the first single and music video for “Stones” is a journey from self loathing to self healing and forgiveness (“soulful and heartfelt" - VICE, “a masterclass in the genre-bending style Everlast pioneered” - BroBible).

Songs like the bittersweet “Love Don't Heal," and even the bouncy “Broken Heart for Hire” find him confronting the phases of heartbreak, from hurt to rage to numbness. Narrative pieces like the murder ballad “Never Coming Home” and the thoughtful “Happy You Can Cry” — a reflection on the meaning of freedom through the life of a woman down on her luck — fit comfortably in the tradition of honest, Springsteenian glimpses at American life. And, of course, Everlast’s story enters into fray, too. On “1987,” he recalls a simpler time of hanging out on the west side of the valley, right before he made a record with Ice T and — ultimately — endures through life’s deepest lows on “Embers to Ashes.”

The wider world, with all its own hurt, looms throughout the record as well. On the ghostly protest song “Rubber Bullets,” written as Everlast watched the fallout of George Floyd’s murder, he reminds listeners: “Rubber bullets kill exactly like the real ones.” A warm backyard bonfire singalong provides the us-against-the-world atmosphere for “Lies.” The incendiary “Peace of Mind,” with a music video featuring graffiti pioneerRISK, mixes down-home blues and epic rock as Everlast takes aim at the absurdity of modern life and escapism. And to close things down, the hopeful “Young Man” offers up the clearest of that aforementioned hard-earned wisdom, as Everlast assumes the role of elder, imparting what he’s learned during a life truly lived to those — like his two daughters — who are just setting out.

Everlast will announce more tour dates this year, having performed at Calgary Stampedeon July 9 and later stopping by Red Rocks on September 19 in Morrison, CO and Oceans Calling Festival on September 25 in Ocean City, MD.

August 28, 2026 – Tiny Habits release their sophomore album Keepers today via Mom+Pop Music, arriving on the heels of a standout summer marked by a series of buzzed-about appearances, from singing at Matty Healy’s wedding to performing for the third time at Newport Folk Festival, where Ladygunn called their set “career-defining.” The record marks a new chapter for the group, one defined by creative risk-taking, personal growth, and an unwavering commitment to making music on their own terms. Across twelve songs, the trio moves through heartbreak, desire, self-doubt, ambition, friendship, family, and the complicated process of becoming more themselves. Following a series of singles that revealed new sides of the band, Keepers brings those threads together into their most ambitious and personal work to date.

Written by Cinya Khan, Judah Mayowa, and Maya Rae, Keepers was shaped by the years of change that followed the release of the band’s 2024 debut, All For Something. Much of the songwriting began individually, with each member bringing their own experiences, ideas, and perspectives back to the group to be shaped together. In that process, each member’s story became woven into Tiny Habits’ collective sound. Together, those individual voices formed something bigger: three people growing together, navigating life and change, and becoming more like a family in the process.

The result is a record that moves well beyond the folk-pop framework that first drew audiences to Tiny Habits. From the buoyant energy of “Someone You Love” to the sensuality of “Belt Loop,” which NME says “sees the group move towards a soulful, R&B-influenced sound,” and the playful contradictions of “Love Ruins Everything,” the album explores new territory while keeping the trio’s vocal chemistry at its center.

For Tiny Habits, that evolution began with an early reckoning with expectations around what a Tiny Habits song was supposed to sound like. “Someone You Love” grew out of that tension, turning frustration with the pressure to deliver an upbeat pop hit into one of the album’s most energetic moments. “Right In Front Of Me,” praised by Billboard as a “breezy track that sounds as carefree as its subject yearns to be,” similarly became a turning point, evolving from a quieter acoustic idea into a bold declaration of self-acceptance. Elsewhere, “Towel” gave the trio space to draw from the diverse musical backgrounds and influences they had previously kept at the edges of their sound.

Across its tracklist, Keepers moves through a wide emotional and thematic spectrum. “Anything He Was,” described by Stereogum as a “gentle, breathy, slightly uncanny ballad,” featuring guest vocals from Matty Healy, sits in the loneliness of loving someone who remains haunted by a past relationship, while “Fragile, Too” examines the work required to maintain connection across distance — ultimately revealing parallels between romantic love and the bond between the three bandmates. “Pattern Of A Person” reflects on childhood dreams, family, disappointment, and the hopes that survive despite circumstances changing, while the title interlude, “Keepers,” turns inward toward the friendship at the heart of the band.

Closing the record is “Lonely Is A Silent Song,” a song that underwent numerous iterations before the trio found its final form recording live with musicians in upstate New York. Fittingly, it is the only song on the album where all three members sing an entire song in unison, three voices becoming one as the album comes to a close.

Keepers was produced by Benjamin Millman with additional production from Philip Weinrobe, Ryan Linvill, and Jeremy Schmetterer, mixed by Jon Castelli, and mastered by Dale Becker. Recorded between Los Angeles and New York, including sessions at The Outlier Inn in New York’s Hudson Valley, the album brings together moments and memories gathered across the many places the band has lived, traveled, written, and recorded.

Tiny Habits will next take the stage at All Things Go Festival in Columbia, MD on September 27 before launching The Keepers Tour. The 25-city North American trek kicks off November 11 in Dallas and includes milestone performances at New York’s Irving Plaza, Boston’s House of Blues, Chicago’s Metro, San Francisco’s Castro Theatre, and Los Angeles’ Fonda Theatre.

Today (August 28), rising country trio Highway Home released their latest single “Never Had Nothing” via Warner Records. Written by the trio alongside Corey Crowder (Morgan Wallen, Chris Young), “Never Had Nothing” is another example of the kind of nostalgic country Highway Home is re-infusing back into the genre. Built on their three-part harmonies and feel-good melody, the song captures that rush of finding the person who makes every past fling – and even a good bourbon buzz – pale in comparison.

“Never Had Nothing” is the third preview track in advance of their debut EP ‘No More Drinkin’ Songs.’ The 6-track collection, produced solely by Ryan Gore (Kacey Musgraves, Thomas Rhett), brings back '90s/early 2000s country with a three-part harmonic twist. Earlier preview tracks include ”No More Drinkin’ Songs,” the honky-tonk title track that puts a fresh spin on the classic country drinking-and-love song, and , and ”Never Grow Up,” a windows-down reflection on summer nights, backroad drives and the hometown memories you never really leave behind.

Follows Kidjo’s Historic Hollywood Walk of Fame Honor

August 28, 2026 // Five-time GRAMMY-winning global icon Angélique Kidjo today releases “Bando [Orchestral] (feat. Pharrell Williams & Quavo),” a sweeping new rendition of the standout from her acclaimed album HOPE!!, alongside an official music video starring Kidjo, Williams and Quavo. The visual was directed by acclaimed filmmaker Paul Hunter, whose legendary music video catalog includes The Notorious B.I.G.’s “Hypnotize,” Mariah Carey’s “Honey,” D’Angelo’s “Untitled (How Does It Feel)” and Michael Jackson’s “You Rock My World.” Produced by Pharrell Williams, the new version expands the original “Bando” with the soaring sounds of Voices of Fire, the gospel choir founded by Pharrell’s uncle Bishop Ezekiel Williams, and the full force of L’Orchestre du Pont Neuf, the Paris-based orchestra led by composer and conductor Thomas Roussel. The result transforms the song’s recurring declaration, “We’ll survive,” into an even more powerful collective anthem of resilience, possibility and joy.

Seeking to spotlight the vitality of the communities that inspired the song, Kidjo, Williams, and Quavo filmed the video for “Bando” with director Paul Hunter in La Grande Borne, a public-housing project in Grigny, in the suburbs of Paris. Even as a historic heat wave swept through the area, residents filled the streets and danced for hours, embodying what Kidjo views as a much-needed counter-narrative to rampant stereotypes. “Most of the time, people only talk about the pain and the struggle of people in the projects, but there’s also pride and joy and celebration,”she says. “When we made the video the whole community came out, and you could feel how proud they were to be seen and recognized. Even in the crazy heat, the kids were so happy and so hopeful. I hope that the song will do them justice, and lift them up even more.”

“The visual world of ‘Bando’ is rooted in culture and community,” says director Paul Hunter. “I was moved by the song and inspired to explore the world it evokes beyond the music itself. The most powerful moments came from observing people simply being together, seeing the younger generation supported by those who came before them, and capturing those natural moments of connection. The goal was to create an experience that felt lived-in and honest, while honoring the culture and people who give the song its meaning.”

“Bando” takes its title from a term for an abandoned house, but the song looks beyond a physical place to the lives and creativity that exist within communities shaped by poverty and inequality. At its core is Kidjo’s conviction that where someone begins should never dictate where they are able to go. “So much of the art that we love comes from people who created something out of nothing,” says Kidjo.“When you have so little, making art becomes a way to have agency and protect your humanity. It proves that you have something of value to share with the world.”

This track  marks the latest evolution of a creative relationship between Kidjo and Pharrell that stretches back nearly two decades. The two first met in 2007 during a visit to Pharrell’s Miami studio and reconnected years later at Grace For The World, the historic concert in Vatican City’s St. Peter’s Square. After hearing Kidjo perform Celia Cruz’s “La Vida Es Un Carnaval” during soundcheck, Pharrell approached her about writing music together. Within weeks, they were creating at his Paris studio in the Louis Vuitton offices. The orchestral arrangement then made its debut earlier this summer as the finale of Louis Vuitton’s Spring-Summer 2027 Men’s Show in Paris, where Pharrell serves as Men’s Creative Director. 

Pharrell ultimately wrote and produced three songs for HOPE!!, with “Bando” becoming one of the defining collaborations of the project. The collaboration is one of many across the new album, her first full-length following the GRAMMY-winning Mother Nature. Dedicated to her late mother, Yvonne, the album explores grief, resilience, love, joy and the sustaining power of hope, and features Pharrell Williams, Quavo, Ayra Starr, Davido, Nile Rodgers, Charlie Wilson, IZA, PJ Morton and more.

The release arrives amid an extraordinary run for Kidjo. Just last week, she made history as the first African musician and first Black African to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, with Willem Dafoe and Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. joining her for the August 18 ceremony. Hollywood also officially declared the date “Angélique Kidjo Day.” Days later, Kidjo returned to New York to headline SummerStage in Central Park, continuing a landmark year that has celebrated both her four-decade legacy and an artist who remains firmly focused on what comes next.

Co-Headlines Hollywood Bowl’s Smooth Summer Jazz with The Commodores this Sunday, August 30; Sheila E. Opens

August 28, 2026 // Four-time GRAMMY nominee and multi-platinum saxophonist, composer and producer Boney James today shares “Storybook,” featuring legendary guitarist Larry Carlton. The second single from his forthcoming milestone 20th studio album, A Simple Man (out October 2 via Concord Records) arrives alongside an official music video, directed by James’s wife Lily Mariye.

The Steely Dan-influenced track lands just days before James takes the stage at the Hollywood Bowl, where he will co-headline the venue’s annual Smooth Summer Jazz celebration with The Commodores this Sunday, August 30, with Sheila E. opening the evening.

Friday, August 28, 2026 – Today, NYC-bred rockers Nicotine Dolls announce their self-titled sophomore album, out October 23 via BMG. Co-produced by frontman Sam Cieriand renowned hitmaker Marti Frederiksen (Aerosmith, Ozzy Osbourne), Nicotine Dolls pairs blown-out guitars, pummeling rhythms, and electrifying vocals with fearless songwriting, capturing the explosive chemistry between Cieri, guitarist John Newsomeand drummer Abel Tabares.

Out today is lead single “Enemy,” a galvanizing refusal to bear responsibility for someone else’s self-destruction, channeling a cathartic fury by way of its barrage of blistering riffs. “‘Enemy’ came from being blamed by one of my best friends for choices he made that blew up his own life,” says Cieri. “I’d never written a f*ck-you song before, but that’s exactly what it is. A lot of this record was about confronting things I’d allowed myself to become a victim to, and finally calling them out.”

The band will perform at Blue Stone Arts & Music Festival in Sandy Springs, GA on September 25 before embarking on a UK/EU tour this October – tour dates here.

Before forming Nicotine Dolls in 2018, Cieri made ends meet by busking in the New York City subway for nearly three years, eventually scoring the lead role in the Tony Award-winning musical Once. Over the years, he steadily built the band from the ground up (at one point working six jobs to fund their recording and tours), cultivating a devoted following.

Eventually, to become the band they always wanted to be, they had to blow up the old blueprint. The process included reconfiguring their lineup, scrapping a completed album and reconnecting with the reckless abandon that first made Cieri fall in love with rock & roll. Soon after recording an intended follow-up to their debut album An Attempt at Romantic, Nicotine Dolls hit the road for their first tour with Newsome in the lineup and quickly rediscovered the visceral thrill of rock music.

“We were having so much fun playing with John, and it reminded me of the way rock & roll made me feel as a teenager,” Cieri recalls. “I realized that for a long time I’d been making the music I thought other people wanted to hear, instead of making music that I truly love.”

Newly signed to BMG, the band decided to shelve their first attempt at a sophomore album and start over. “I’d always wanted to make a record like the one we ended up with, but never had the right band to pull it off,” says Cieri. “Somehow, everything came together and it felt like magic. That’s why it’s self-titled. To me, it’s the first real Nicotine Dolls record.”

Recorded in Nashville, Nicotine Dolls embodies a newfound audacity born from a revelation early in the writing process. While working with legendary songwriter and producer Desmond Child (Aerosmith, Joan Jett & the Blackhearts), Cieri shared a demo of a song he had written about longing to save a troubled relationship by running away to an idealized California. Along with changing the song’s title from “Waiting for California” to “Here to California,” Nicotine Dolls transformed the track into an exhilarating anthem about choosing forward motion over regret. 

Across its 12 songs, the Nicotine Dolls album brings the same moody bravado to an unfiltered exploration of desire, regret and survival. The band moves from the fuzzed-out swagger of “Gimme Sympathy” to the simmering defiance of “To the Wolves” and the groove-heavy frustration of “Little Games,” attacking each song with equal parts unbridled energy and emotional force. At one point, Newsome tore through a guitar solo with bleeding fingers. 

“When we finished the record, I cried. I’d never had that happen before,” says Cieri. “I believe in our band, and this is the closest I’ve ever come to making the record I always knew we could make.”

Friday, August 28, 2026 – Today, The Prince Estate, in partnership with Legacy Recordings, releases Timeless, a new posthumous Prince album featuring 10 rare and previously unreleased recordings from Prince’s legendary Vault. Available now across all major streaming platforms and in multiple physical configurations, Timeless is the first Prince release ever curated to span every major era of his career, bringing together recordings created between 1977 and 2016 in a sweeping portrait of one of music’s most innovative and influential artists.

Spanning nearly four decades of extraordinary creative output, Timeless traces Prince’s artistic evolution from his earliest studio recordings as a teenage prodigy in Minneapolis through one of his final recorded performances. Heard together for the first time, these recordings illuminate the remarkable consistency, curiosity and creative ambition that defined Prince throughout his life, an artist perpetually moving forward, experimenting and creating on his own terms.

Arriving alongside the album today is new single and music video “The Guilty Ones,” a previously unreleased recording from 2007. Recorded by Ian Boxill at Paisley Park on October 26, 2007, the track features background vocals by Marva King and Shelby J., bass by Josh Dunham and drums by Cora Coleman-Dunham, and was produced, arranged, composed and performed by Prince.

The first two releases from Timeless offered an early glimpse at just how much musical and chronological ground the collection covers. "With This Tear," Prince’s intimate 1991 recording written, produced and arranged by him, was hailed as “pure Prince” by Complex, while Rolling Stone described the previously unreleased 1995 recording "Stone," as “forever funky.” Together, the tracks previewed the remarkable range found across Timeless, from intimate songwriting to the funk-driven experimentation that remained a hallmark of Prince’s work.

The complete collection reaches even further. Opening with “I Am You,” recorded at Minneapolis’ Sound 80 in 1977, Timeless moves chronologically through nearly four decades of Prince’s creative life, including “Tick Tick Bang” (1981), “Heaven” (1985), “I Wonder” (1989), “With This Tear” (1991), “Stone” (1995), “Calabama” (2003), “The Guilty Ones” (2007) and “Bestest Friend” (2012) before closing with “How Come U Don’t Call Me Anymore?,” recorded live at Oracle Arena in Oakland on March 4, 2016.

Rather than capturing Prince at a single moment, Timeless reveals the creative throughline that endured across his entire career. Across changing decades, genres, collaborators and musical landscapes, the collection underscores the restless imagination at the center of his work and the extraordinary breadth of music he left behind.

The collection was mixed and mastered by Grammy-nominated engineer and producer Chris James, a former Prince engineer whose credits include HITnRUN Phase Two, Art Official Age and Plectrumelectrum. James’ history with the recordings extends back to the original sessions: he recorded Timeless track “Bestest Friend” at Paisley Park in 2012. Timeless was produced for compilation by L. Londell McMillan, Charles F. Spicer Jr. and Chris James, with art direction by Tora Bliss.

Timeless was first announced in June during Prince Celebration 2026, the annual gathering honoring Prince’s life, music and enduring legacy. This year’s Celebration brought fans from around the world to Paisley Park and downtown Minneapolis for performances, exclusive listening sessions, archival presentations and conversations with Prince collaborators. The occasion was recognized citywide, with Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey proclaiming June 1–7 “Prince Celebration Week” and the Minneapolis skyline illuminated in purple in Prince’s honor.

Released during the 10th anniversary year of Prince’s passing, Timeless arrives amid renewed attention to his extraordinary legacy and continued influence across music and culture. Earlier this year, ahead of Celebration 2026, The New York Times and the Star Tribune explored the lasting cultural significance of Paisley Park and the global community that continues to gather around Prince’s music, while The New York Times and Billboard have recently highlighted the upcoming Broadway adaptation of Purple Rain. A decade after his passing, Timeless offers another window into that enduring legacy, bringing previously unheard chapters of Prince’s artistic journey to listeners for the first time.

LOS ANGELES, CA — August 27, 2026 — Pacific Electric, Los Angeles’ live music and cultural destination, is opening The Garden, a new open-air gathering place at its historic Naud Warehouse home where Mission Junction meets Chinatown. Launching Labor Day Weekend, September 3–6, The Garden gives friends, families and neighbors of all ages a place to eat, drink, play and spend time together — whether there’s a show on the calendar or not.

Built around the idea that Pacific Electric can be as much a neighborhood gathering place as a live music venue, The Garden will feature a new outdoor bar, including four new cocktails on draft alongside Pacific Electric’s existing bar offerings, plus new food items from Secret Indian Food Window, a unique concept by BADMAASH. Guests can grab a drink and a bite, settle in for the evening or get competitive with giant Connect Four, Jenga, cornhole, and more available throughout the space.

“With The Garden, we wanted to create a space that feels open and welcoming,” shares Stacey Levine, Senior General Manager. “You don’t need a ticket to an event or a special occasion. On Saturday, September 5, The Garden will welcome TUMBAO, a Miami-inspired Afro-Latin nightlife experience, for a special evening presented in partnership with adidas. Meaning “groove, rhythm and sexiness,” TUMBAO brings together carefully curated club sounds from around the world with a spirit of perreo, community and self-expression. The Keepers Tour Kicks Off November 11

August 27, 2026 - Tiny Habits release their new single “Love Ruins Everything,”arriving one day ahead of their forthcoming sophomore album, Keepers, out August 28 via Mom+Pop Music. Following “Anything He Was” with Matty Healy, “Right In Front Of Me, and “Belt Loop,” the new track offers another glimpse into the emotional and musical range of the band’s most expansive record to date.

Playing with the grass-is-always-greener feeling of relationships, “Love Ruins Everything” captures the contradictions of wanting what you don’t have: longing for a relationship when you’re single, only to miss your independence once you’ve found one. At once funny, self-aware, and sincere, the song explores how love can be both wonderfully consuming and completely disruptive. It also finds Tiny Habits venturing into new musical territory, further revealing the breadth of Keepers.

Born from a transformative period for Tiny Habits, both individually and as a band,Keepers reflects the breakups, makeups, disagreements, celebrations, lessons, and resolutions that shaped them along the way. Written by Tiny Habits — Cinya Khan, Judah Mayowa, and Maya Rae — the twelve-song album captures the group growing into new versions of themselves, and into something more like a family, while embracing a wider emotional and musical range. Produced by Benjamin Millman with additional production from Philip Weinrobe, Ryan Linvill, and Jeremy Schmetterer, Keepers was mixed by Jon Castelli and mastered by Dale Becker. Recorded between Los Angeles and New York, the album centers on the people, memories, relationships, and versions of themselves they choose to carry forward, and the ones they ultimately leave behind.

Following their recent performance at Newport Folk Festival, Tiny Habits will return to the stage at All Things Go Festival this September before embarking on The Keepers Tour, their biggest North American headline run to date. The 25-city trek kicks off November 11 in Dallas and includes milestone performances at New York’s Irving Plaza, Boston’s House of Blues, Chicago’s Metro, San Francisco’s Castro Theatre, and Los Angeles’ Fonda Theatre.

Thursday, August 27th – Today, independent label Vitalize Records, founded by Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree Steff Agathis, announces the signing of rising pop artist and Vanderpump Rules star Natalie Maguire to a four-single debut EP deal. 

The forthcoming project will be A&R’d by Tay James, best known as Justin Bieber’s official DJ, and produced and co-written by acclaimed producer, singer and songwriter HARV, whose credits include Justin Bieber, Skrillex, Summer Walker, Normani, Post Malone, Gucci Mane, Eminem and more.

The signing marks a new chapter for Maguire as she further establishes herself as a recording artist. Working closely with Agathis, James and HARV, Maguire’s four forthcoming singles will comprise her debut EP with Vitalize Records, with additional details surrounding the project to be announced soon.

“I am incredibly excited for everyone to see this new side of Natalie,” says Agathis.“This EP truly showcases her artistry, powerful vocals, and raw talent. Having the opportunity to work alongside Tay James and HARV has been a dream come true. They are both incredibly talented and immediately understood the vision we had for this project. It’s Me, Margaret.,before joining Bravo’s Vanderpump Rules after working at Lisa Vanderpump’s SUR Restaurant. In 2026, she expanded into music with the release of her debut single “Passenger,” followed by “Kiss Me While I Cry,” which gained traction online, including a TMZ clip that surpassed 670K views on Instagram. Gala Raises Critical Funds to Support DKMS’s Mission to Provide Patients Around The World With a Second Chance at Life

August 26, 2026 – DKMS, the most significant non-profit organization in the world to fight blood cancer and blood disorders, announces its 20th annual DKMS Gala. Once again, the organization will host the yearly black-tie event at Cipriani Wall Street in New York on Thursday October 15th. The evening’s programming includes a live concert from multiple GRAMMY® Award-winning Rock and Roll Hall of Fame® inductee and Songwriters Hall of Fame® inductee Nile Rodgers & CHICas well as a performance by Joseph Gordon: Principal Dancer with the New York City Ballet.

For two decades, the DKMS Gala has united members of the creative community in its mission to change lives and “delete blood cancer” forever, and this tradition is proudly upheld in 2026.

This year’s gala will highlight the remarkable and uplifting journey of Ezra, an 11-year-old from California who received a life-saving stem cell transplant, and his donor, Dallas Wilson, a Nashville-based country and pop songwriter-producer. Dallas registered as a potential stem cell donor over 15 years ago while attending college. Although Ezra was diagnosed as an infant with Neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1), his childhood remained relatively normal until he began experiencing persistent health challenges and illnesses in the fall of 2024. A specialist consultation in December 2024 revealed that Ezra had been diagnosed with Juvenile Myelomonocytic Leukemia (JMML), a rare and aggressive form of leukemia. Just three weeks before his wedding, Dallas received an urgent message from DKMS informing him that he was a match for a patient in need. Without hesitation, Dallas committed to donating and was even willing to postpone his honeymoon to ensure the lifesaving donation could take place. Ezra received his transplant from Dallas in May 2025.

Proceeds from the evening will directly support DKMS’s mission of saving lives by registering stem cell donors, providing patients in low and middle-income countries with access to transplantation, and advancing research and development in blood cancer treatment.
