Since his last album, Rector has had a breakout Top 5 radio hit, “Brand New,” and has become a father. These changes drive Rector’s positive and hopeful new album, full of piano-driven pop songs both nostalgic and forward-thinking with stylistic nods to Huey Lewis and the News. The album features GRAMMY-winning songwriter Dan Wilson (co-write on “Sometimes”) and Steve Stevens (guitarist for Billy Idol, Michael Jackson and the theme of 1986’s Top Gun), with production by John Fields (Goo Goo Dolls, All Time Low) and Tony Hoffer (Beck, Air, M83).
