Dom Flemons – Grand Ole Opry (Nashville)
The historian and co-founder of the GRAMMY-winning Carolina Chocolate Drops returns to the Opry stage. Flemons and the house band take the listener on an illuminating journey through the Old West via re-worked string-blues music, old-time square-dance music and cowboy poetry. Flemons also plays original music written for his latest album, Black Cowboys (Smithsonian Folkways Recordings), which explores and celebrates the history of Africa-American cowboy songs.
