ABOUT THE ROLE

Shore Fire Media is looking for a sharp and ambitious account executive publicist to join our team.

We are looking for someone who can excel in a demanding, high-pressure environment with a passionate knowledge of a variety of genres of music as well as the music industry, and media worlds.  This person must have the ability to lead a multi-faceted client roster that will include musicians as well as corporate business and technology accounts, authors and pop culture figures.

We represent artists, culture makers, and business executives at the top of their fields.  Shore Fire has represented recipients of Grammy Awards, Pulitzer Prizes, Academy Awards, Kennedy Center Honors, Emmy Awards, Tony Awards, Golden Globe Awards and the Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song.

WHAT YOU HAVE
•At least two years of music or entertainment PR experience

•Established relationships with major media decision-makers 

•Know how to conceptualize and generate meaningful press campaigns

•Bachelor’s degree

•Must excel in time management, attention to detail and problem-solving in a demanding, fast-paced work environment

•Exemplary writing and communication skills

•This position is based in our Brooklyn, NY office 
•Special skills: please note any special talent such as photography, videography, design, content creation



WHAT YOU’LL DO

•Jump into leading publicity campaigns on day one

•Pitch and secure major interviews, TV/radio appearances, reviews and stories for clients.

•Conceive and draft key writing: press notes, press releases, pitch letters, media alerts, talking points, etc. 

•Build out engaging angles, narratives and opportunities around our clients. 

•Play key role in campaign brainstorms and strategy sessions.

•Oversee campaign reports and press clippings.

•Client communication: lead conference calls, strategize and troubleshoot

•Schedule, set-up and facilitate in-person, virtual, and/or phone interviews, conferences and artist appearances with media partners. Oversee logistics of appearances, interviews, showcases, album release parties and events.

•Contribute to our media databases by sharing updates, changes and additions

•Coordinate client activities and press schedules with teams

•Monitor online client activity
