Ado’s Best Adobum First Greatest Hits Album Celebrating 5th Anniversary of Major-Label Debut Out Now!
Music Video for New Song “ROCKSTAR”
(Marubeni’s New Corporate Ad Campaign Song)
Portraying the Main Character Who Aspires to be a Rockstar Revealed!
(NY, NY - April 9th, 2025) - Five years after shaking the music scene with her explosive major-label debut “Usseewa,” Ado—now just 22 years old—marks the milestone with the release of her first-ever greatest hits album, Ado’s Best Adobum, out now. The celebration continues with the release of the music video for her powerful new single, “ROCKSTAR,” which also serves as the theme for Marubeni’s new corporate campaign.
The cinematic video for “ROCKSTAR” follows a protagonist who, after failing to become a rockstar in a past life, returns to Earth as a corpse for one night to chase her dream. Directed by TOHRU MiTSUHASHi and NANON CREATIVE — known for Ado’s iconic videos “Show,” “Ibara,” “Shoka” and “Elf” — and illustrated by Kayuka (“Odo”), the visual is a compelling tale of redemption, passion, and unrelenting ambition.
“ROCKSTAR” is an empowering anthem for anyone striving to overcome adversity, capturing Ado’s personal journey from recording in a closet to becoming a chart-topping global sensation. The song’s uplifting message — “we are not alone = let’s do it together” — aligns with Marubeni’s corporate philosophy, “Share the Challenge.”
“ROCKSTAR” is featured on Ado’s Best Adobum, a two-disc collection of 40 genre-defying tracks that span her meteoric career. From viral anthems like “Usseewa” and “Odo,” to emotionally charged deep cuts and collabs with top creators, the album is a definitive portrait of one of Japan’s most trailblazing voices.
Please enjoy the music video for the new song “ROCKSTAR” along with Ado’s first greatest hits album “Ado’s Best Adobum”.

ABOUT ADO
A 22-year-old Utaite, Ado, became a mainstream name through her 2020 major label debut "Usseewa," which sparked a social phenomenon. Ado's first album "Kyougen" and the songtrack album "UTA'S SONGS ONE PIECE FILM RED," featuring all seven songs she sang for the movie "ONE PIECE FILM RED," have both dominated the charts and become long-lasting hits. She started her first world tour, Ado FIRST WORLD TOUR "Wish" in February 2024, and in April 2024, and she performed a two-day live concert, Ado SPECIAL LIVE 2024 "Shinzou," making her the first female solo artist to ever hold a show at the Japan National Stadium.
Starting from July 2024, she held her biggest yet nationwide arena tour, “Ado JAPAN TOUR 2024 ‘Profile of Mona Lisa,’” and her highly anticipated 2nd original album “Zanmu” was also released in the same month. On October 24th, she released her first CD single “Sakura Biyori and Time Machine (with Hatsune Miku)/Shoka”.
Ado is currently gearing up for her second world tour, “Ado WORLD TOUR 2025 ‘Hibana’ Powered by Crunchyroll” starting 2025.
Global theatrical release of the concert film “Ado SPECIAL LIVE ‘Shinzou’ in Cinema” is confirmed. The concert film has started showing in Asia, with Japan following on May 9th, and will be coming to North America soon.
The concert film offers an immersive journey into Ado’s legendary live concert “Shinzou” at the Japan National Stadium in 2024. It also features a fully remastered 5.1 channel audio system and Dolby Atmos sound technology for unparalleled sound quality tailored for the big screen.
