Aloe Blacc Celebrates Connection And Community

Today (2.5), Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter, Aloe Blacc, shares the official music video for “Don’t Go Alone,” the lead single from this forthcoming album Stand Together (out 2.28 on Grand Scheme Productions via Vydia, a gamma. company).

The video opens with and follows an older couple in their journey from sitting far apart to joy and connection dancing close together. Set to a simple white backdrop, the video features talent and dancers from Uganda and Kenya, plus the viral, African dance group, The Ghetto Kids. The video is a vibrant celebration of the track's message of the power of connection and community. “Don’t Go Alone” is an anthem inspired by an African proverb – “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together” – which is playfully captured in the video.

Stand Together was produced in partnership with the philanthropic community of the same name, and each of its 12-tracks are paired with a positive social cause, showcasing Aloe’s unwavering and ongoing, deep commitment to using music as a catalyst for social change. “Don’t Go Alone” is inspired by the mission of The Phoenix, a Stand Together community partner and national sober active community that provides free, active, and meaningful programming to anyone impacted by substance use.
