Aloe Blacc Debuts New Single “I Do” on LIVE with Kelly and Ryan
Announces Day of Tribute for Swedish DJ Avicii, Behind Global Hits “Wake Me Up” + “SOS”Yesterday, recording artist, Aloe Blacc appeared on LIVE with Kelly and Ryan for a heart-warming performance of his newest single “I Do” – a musical testimony and affirmation of love to his wife, recording artist Maya Jupiter. Even as he performed the song from his home in California, the chart-topping, GRAMMY-nominated R&B singer-songwriter — joined by his band, The Grand Scheme, also playing from their homes — is able to seamlessly connect with the music and the audience. “I Do” is the first single from Aloe Blacc’s forthcoming solo album on BMG, his first since critically-acclaimed major label debut Lift Your Spirit.

April 20th marks the second anniversary of the passing of Swedish DJ, remixer, and international hitmaker Avicii. Aloe Blacc and Avicii collaborated on a number of songs together, including platinum hits “Wake Me Up” and “SOS.” On Monday, in commemoration of his memory and music, Aloe will digitally host a 24-hour tribute, sharing dedications and conversations with Avicii collaborators, peers, and friends. . He’ll even choose select fans to be his duet partner; fans can post cover versions of “Wake Me Up” and “SOS” and tag #SingWithAloe to be considered. About Aloe Blacc
Aloe Blacc is a singer, songwriter, producer, and activist born to Panamanian immigrants who settled in California. Aloe was raised on the musical stylings of salsa, merengue, and cumbia and eventually discovered artists like KRS-One, Donny Hathaway, Joni Mitchell, and James Taylor – inspiring his unique fusion of soul, folk, R&B, and pop.
