Amos Lee will embark on his first major tour since the pandemic next month and, as he marks his return to the road, the former public school teacher will share that special moment with those who’ve done so much to keep us going over the past two years. Announcing a “Tickets For Teachers” giveaway at each stop on the countrywide Dreamland tour this spring and summer - from New York to LA and Minneapolis to Memphis - Lee is asking local students, parents, colleagues and community members to nominate the teachers in their area who made a special impact on their lives during the pandemic. Lee will be giving away free tickets for each show to teachers, and also helping to provide them with necessary classroom supplies; far too often which they are left to purchase on their own. Nominate a teacher in your area by visiting https://bit.ly/3t7vcSQ or via social media by tagging @amoslee and using the hashtag #ALTicketsForTeachers.

"As a former teacher myself, I know how much teachers sacrifice, and the last two years certainly have made things even more trying," says Lee. "So, I am giving away free tickets to teachers and helping classrooms buy the supplies they need.

With his new album Dreamland described as “taking the listener on a rich emotional journey” (NPR, Here & Now) and “wrapping his arms around the listener” (AllMusic), Lee brings that same spirit of empathy and connectivity to stages across America as he prepares for over two-dozen full-band performances in the coming weeks and months. “Tickets For Teachers” continues a long tradition of Lee using his voice to shine a light on society’s most resilient, also partnering with organizations like the Wounded Warrior Project and Musicians On Call to help give back to those who give so much to their communities. While helping teachers across the country, Lee has also been a vocal advocate for destigmatizing the conversation around mental health during the pandemic. He recently spoke to NPR about his own journey of healing through isolation and loss: https://wbur.fm/3Jh8bCv
