Twisted Music Video Drops Today - WATCH HERE

Today, multi-instrumentalist, producer, and songwriter Amtrac releases his rapid-paced thriller track “Domino” with collaborator Future Islands’ Samuel T Herring, along with a 90’s inspired eccentric video representing a true underdog story. This follows Amtrac’s most recent tour with Bob Moses, where he supported them for 22 dates across North America and his collaboration with Diplo and Leon Bridges on “High Rise.”

Amtrac stated, ““Domino” is a window into my state of mind during a time of uncertainty - Working with Sam was a dream collaboration come true. The video pays homage to some of my favorite filmmakers, with hints of the sci-fi/horror realms created by John Carpenter and the bizarre futuristic narratives of David Cronenberg - We wrap at the end with an almost Tim & Eric off-kilter take on the office workplace.

The music video is an eerie take on a work day in a corporate office, calling to mind the aesthetic of the golden era of groundbreaking 90s electronic videos (think Basement Jaxx, Aphex Twin, The Chemical Brothers, Squarepusher, Prodigy) and even a bit of The Twilight Zone. The video for “Domino” is a captivating, thought-provoking and even chill-inducing watch with the message of taking control of your life and finding peace.

The director of the video Cameron Veitch stated, "For Domino, we wanted to have some fun creating a chase scene in one of the most unsettling and dystopian landscapes… a corporate office. The concept came by dwelling on the idea of daily life in a 9-5 where instead of killing time, time kills you.”

Amtrac has more in store for this year including a performance at this year’s III Points Festival in Miami on October 21st. Be sure to stay tuned!

Amtrac

The Kentucky-born and Los Angeles-based artist, DJ, producer, remixer, multi-instrumentalist, and founder of Openers made his formal debut onto the scene in 2011 with his acclaimed album Came Along. The album elevated the Morehead, KY native—born Caleb Cornett—to the cutting edge of electronic music. In its wake, he amassed an acclaimed catalog of originals and remixes. The multi-talented artist can electrify an audience, be it with a moving live music performance or by working dancefloors up to a sweat with his driving yet funk-filled DJ sets. Never content to settle, Amtrac’s musical mood and influences change with each passing season. His ambition and curiosity keep him locked on the edge, always happy to experiment with new techniques and sounds. His music is what he feels in the moment. Simply put, his constant evolution comes from a hatred of boredom and a love for his labor. It’s just not in his nature to stagnate.
