Annual Tradition of Gezelligheid Concerts Returns to Chicago for First Time in Three Years, December 12-16

Over the weekend, Andrew Bird gave his debut performance on CBS Saturday Morning. Fresh off a run of sold-out shows at the Greek Theatre, Red Rocks, NYC's Pier 17, Chicago's Salt Shed and more on this summer's sweeping Outside Problems tour, he and his four-piece band filled the TV studio with the cool, rousing verve of his new album Inside Problems. The set included renditions of standout singles like "Make a Picture,"which recently drove the record to #1 on the NonComm, Americana and College radio charts, as well as the hypnotically groovy, Joan Didion-inspired "Atomized," and a version of "Never Fall Apart" that featured a soaring arrangement of three-part harmonies.

Inside Problems is out now on Loma Vista Recordings, and has been hailed as "a warm, collaborative record that feels like a balm for fear and loneliness," as it finds the Grammy-nominated musician, songwriter and composer entering "previously uncharted territory" (Pitchfork). In addition to dozens of US stops on the Outside Problems tour, Andrew Bird has recently brought these new songs to shows as big as a full orchestra in France, and as intimate as a Tiny Desk Concert accompanied by Iron & Wine's Sam Beam. Following a continuation of the Outside Problems tour this fall, co-headlined with Iron & Wine, Andrew Bird will head back to his native Chicago for his beloved Gezelligheidshows. Taking place in-person at the city's Fourth Presbyterian Church for the first time in three years, the annual tradition of holiday concerts will run from Dec 12-16.
