Angie McMahon’s Salt Out Today on Dualtone Records – "One of the Most Anticipated Releases by a New Artist This Year" (American Songwriter)
U.S. Performances At Newport Folk’s “Future Is Female” Showcase This Weekend, NYC Next Week + Massive Stateside Run w. Hozier
Angie McMahon’s riff-heavy and anthemic debut LP Salt is out now on Dualtone Records. Following her A Couple of Songs EP ("a perfect showcase of her gifts as a songwriter and vocalist” - FADER), tens of millions of streams, and acclaimed performances around the world – including her award-winning sets at this year’s SXSW – Angie now presents her most cohesive statement yet.
In a rave review, American Songwriter declared the “moving, bold and uncompromising” Salt “takes you places few singer-songwriters dare to explore, let alone those on their first albums.”
Other fans include NPR (“at times, she sounds like a one-woman reincarnation of Fleetwood Mac”); W Magazine (“she’s making the States aware of what Australia already knew: Angie McMahon is music’s next big thing”); Consequence of Sound (“forcing you to pay attention”); Paste (“Angie McMahon is ready to take the U.S. by storm”); and Brooklyn Vegan(“her highly emotive voice sells it on first listen”).

Today, Angie will perform at the Newport Folk Festival - closing out the festival’s “Future Is Female” programming - and on Wednesday (July 31) she comes to New York for an intimate solo show at Rockwood Music Hall. Later this year, she opens 16 dates on Hozier’s extensive U.S. tour, including a return to New York for five nights at New York’s (only slightly less intimate) 2,200-capacity Hammerstein Ballroom.
