Reuben And The Dark, the latest signing to indie powerhouse label Arts & Crafts (Broken Social Scene, Feist), will launch their first US tour this fall with October and November dates. Hailed as "one of the most buzzed-about bands of NXNE" by Exclaim, the band will preview material from their debut album, produced by Florence + The Machine drummer Chris Hayden and Stephen Kozmeniuk (Madonna, Nicki Minaj) and mixed by Jim Abbiss (Adele, Arctic Monkeys), due for release in 2014. Check out Entertainment Weekly's exclusive premiere of lead track "Rolling Stone" here: http://shorefi.re/15rBYlb

Frontman Reuben Bullock's songwriting draws heavily on his childhood as the son of a traveling preacher, a lifestyle he and his brother/drummer Distance rebelled against, spurning the spiritual world for a wilder one that he now considers himself lucky to have survived. Those trials and brushes with mortality—the gang dispute that ended with a car exploding, escaping the Thailand Tsunami in 2004, his family convinced for days he’d been swept from the beach—fueled notebooks full of poems and lyrics that spawned a beautiful, dark, chilling set of atmospheric indie rock and folk that's as personal as it gets.
