Austin Williams Inspires Pride In The Places That Made Us On “Country Just Like Me,” Penned By Chris Stapleton & More

Fresh off of tours with Tyler Hubbard and Warren Zeiders, fast-rising country artist Austin Williams shared his small town Tennessee-bred stories and songs with sold out crowds across the country. Now, the country newcomer is offering his voice to a new song penned by some of the genre's greatest veterans including 10x GRAMMY-winning artist Chris Stapleton, and GRAMMY-winning songwriters Kendell Marvel and Tim James.

The heavy-hitting track marks Williams’ first outside cut as an artist. Filled with country-rock elements, the song honors some of the defining characteristics of Williams’ Southern upbringing while also instilling listeners with a powerful pride in the places that raised them.

“I was fortunate enough to grow up on a tobacco farm and run cattle in my little hometown just north of Nashville,” says Williams. “I was able to learn a simple way of life, where not much is just enough. It’s given me a view on life that is only dying in today’s world. SO THIS ONE IS TO ALL MY FOLKS LIVING LIKE ME AND HOLDING DOWN WHERE WE ARE FROM!”

Since coming onto the music scene last year, Williams has amassed more than 76 million cumulative streams and was selected to TikTok’s Musical Class of 2023 by GRAMMY.com.

Williams is currently out on tour with Larry Fleet and will support Trey Lewis in May. He will also perform at CMA Fest, Faster Horses Festival, Summerfest and more this summer.
