Big Yellow Dog Music’s Tenille Townes Takes Home Two 2020 ACM Awards
Townes named ACM’s New Female Artist of the Year
Recognized for the Music Event of the Year
The 2020 Academy of Country Music Awards might have looked a little different this year, but it continued its tradition of spotlighting artists’ incredible contributions to country music, including Big Yellow Dog Music artist Tenille Townes who received two ACM Awards last night (9.16). Townes was named the 2020 ACM New Female Artist of the Year and received an additional award for Musical Event of the Year for her contribution to “Fooled Around And Fell In Love” with fellow artists Miranda Lambert, Maren Morris, Ashley McBryde, Caylee Hammack and Elle King.
"Congratulations Tenille on winning two ACM awards,” says Big Yellow Dog Music co-owner and CEO Carla Wallace. "You wrap your arms around us all with your music. We know this is just the beginning for you!"
During the award show, Townes, who joined Big Yellow Dog Music's roster in 2016, gave a moving performance of "Somebody’s Daughter,” a highlight off her empathy-driven debut album ‘The Lemonade Stand’ (6.26). For more information, visit tenilletownes.com.
