Billboard Unveils Mt. Joy's "Dirty Love," a "Richly Textured" Remedy For Living a Dream
Today, Billboard unveils Mt. Joy's "Dirty Love," a minimalist expansion of the band's "richly textured brand of Americana," and a remedy to the growing pains that accompany a transition from high school friends to overnight sensations.
The final preview of the band's self-titled, debut LP (out 3/2 on Dualtone), its lyrics "echo the album's theme of coping with various situations and neuroses." Check it out here.
Mt. Joy recently performed on CONAN, after Rolling Stone declared "they could be your new folk-rock heroes" and NPR Music welcomed them to the Slingshot 2018 emerging artist program and February's Slingshot Artist Spotlight.
In addition to racking up 17 million Spotify streams and 1.2 million monthly listeners across five singles, the LA-via-Philly five-piece has gained the support of Sirius' Alt Nation, WXPN, and many more as they head into a year that already includes SXSW, Shaky Knees, and BottleRock. They just wrapped up a tour with Neko Case, but kick off a national headlining run next month. Find full dates here.
