Bonnie Raitt Gears up for 40 More North American Dates on her Slipstream Tour

Bonnie Raitt is hitting the road for 40 additional North American concerts on her 'Slipstream' World Tour 2012-2013. The shows mark Raitt's first full U.S. run since her album 'Slipstream' won the GRAMMY for Best Americana Album in February - her 10th GRAMMY award to date.

Raitt's world tour started in April 2012 with over half of her 80 North American dates sold out, before embarking on international legs in Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, the U.K. and throughout Europe where she was met with warm audiences and critical acclaim. 

While on tour, she performed on Later with... Jools Holland, sold out the Royal Albert Hall, taped a BBC Sessions to air this Fall and performed at a range of established festivals including the Isle Of White Festival, Montreux Jazz Fest, and the North Sea Jazz Festival. Raitt's performances on the 'Slipstream' tour have been lauded as "rigorous, sentimental, magnanimous, resilient" (New York Times), "peerless" (Chicago Tribune), and "as strong as ever ... perfect" (Boston Globe).

'Slipstream' was released in April 2012 on Raitt's label Redwing Records and closed the year as a triumph. The album marked her biggest debut in two decades, was one of the top five-selling independent albums of 2012, and was called "masterful" (Hollywood Reporter) and "gripping" (New York Times) by critics.
