Boz Scaggs' 'Out Of The Blues' Out Now On Concord Records, #1 On ITunes And Amazon Blues Charts
National Headlining Tour This Fall, Including LA's Orpheum Sept 29 And NYC's Town Hall Nov 14
Boz Scaggs’ ‘Out Of The Blues’ is out now on Concord Records and is currently #1 on the iTunes and Amazon Blues charts, and reached the top 10 on the iTunes overall albums chart. Boz just discussed his new album on NPR’s Weekend Edition and has been praised by the Associated Press, Rolling Stone, Billboard, American Songwriter and more. On August 28, Boz heads out on an extensive national tour through mid-November, including LA’s Orpheum Sept 29 and NYC’s Town Hall on November 14. Full dates below.
‘Out Of The Blues’ is a self-produced mix of blues deep cuts and new originals that finds Scaggs - born in Ohio, raised in Texas and Oklahoma - reconnecting with his earliest musical and regional influences. It marks the final piece of an unofficial trilogy of genre albums for Boz, which began with the Steve Jordan-produced albums 'Memphis' and 'A Fool to Care.'
‘Out of the Blues’ features an all-star studio band, including guitarists Doyle Bramhall II, Ray Parker Jr. and Charlie Sexton, bassist Willie Weeks, drummer Jim Keltner, keyboardist Jim Cox, and Jack Walroth on harmonica, all supporting Boz himself on guitar, bass and vocoder.

Boz was also just interviewed on NPR Weekend Edition and KPCC’s The Frame.
