Penned by Davis, “Hearts Don’t Rust” harks back to timeless country sounds reminiscent of the greats. The song tells the story of an older man sharing the secret to a 50-year marriage with a young stranger. Its heartfelt message shows how material things deteriorate overtime but real love stays intact.

"Hearts Don’t Rust is a collection of songs that truly defines who I am as a songwriter and artist,” says Davis. "Every song tells a story that I believe people can relate to and sing along with.”

With a knack for slice-of-life storytelling, Davis’ wrote and co-wrote the entire ‘Hearts Don’t Rust’ album with Jason Duke (Keith Urban, Kelsea Ballerini) and others, touching on everyday themes and what they mean to people in the grand scheme of life.

On ‘Hearts Don’t Rust,’ Davis tells stories of taking relationship advice from someone who has been married 50 years (“Hearts Don’t Rust"), how roses can oftentimes be a solution when you’re driving your partner crazy (“Running Out Of Roses"), being grateful for hand-me-down cars and what you have in life (“Something’s Better Than Nothing”), being content with a slow-moving and hard-working lifestyle ("Somebody’s Gotta Do It”), small moments that make a relationship worthwhile ("Speaking My Language,” “Hey Baby” and “Hits Different”), and how sometimes tequila can be the best heartbreak companion (“Tequila And Opinions”).
