Bruno Major Drops Trio of "Cold Blood" remixes
London singer-songwriter Bruno Major has shared a series of remixes for his hit single, the heart-aching ballad, "Cold Blood." The reimaginations, all by close friends, transform the song into a set of sonic adventures.
Bruno's long-standing producer and collaborator Phairo stretches "Cold Blood" into a sparse, disharmonized but dreamy sequence, building tension as the song progresses, exchanging Bruno's lyrics for eerie autotune shouts and whispers.
The mysterious Tyde strips "Cold Blood" down, backing it with tight glowing loops, withholding the powerful drops and swells of the original, instead constructing a meandering labyrinth to get lost in.
Fast-rising LA producer Lophiile, who has previously collaborated with Ray BLK, Goldlink, Moss Kena, Gallant, and Freddie Gibbs, mangles the song with horns, shimmering synths and distorted choir-like vocals, transforming it into a haunting echo.
Concluding his UK support tour alongside Sam Smith with two nights at The O2 in London tonight and tomorrow, Bruno will return to the states for the second leg of his debut headlining North American tour in late May.
