Today (5.29), Louisiana-bred, PLATINUM-selling country artist Bryan Martin releases “Rather Be The Fire” via Average Joes Entertainment. A no-holds-barred country rocker, “Rather Be The Fire” finds Martin detailing the sacrifices, struggles and relentless drive it takes to chase a dream.

Produced by Nick Gibbens and written by Martin alongside JT Harding (Keith Urban, Kenny Chesney), Adam Wood (Dierks Bentley, Scotty McCreery) and Scott Sean White (Cody Johnson), the anthem is a tribute to the relentless perseverance, driven by rugged, grit-soaked vocals and guitar licks that balance twang with hard-edged intensity. There’s no magic behind the success – only hard work and scars – all culminating in the defiant lyric, “I’d rather be the fire than what’s left in the smoke.”

“Life comes at you quick,” says Martin. “I know it as well as anyone. ‘Rather Be The Fire’ is about getting after it. Fortune favors the bold. No time to sit around. If you want it, go get it.”

Martin’s sound is one that echoes lived experience, capturing the scars and resilience that have come to define both the man and the artist. Earning more than 1.4 billion career streams across his catalog, Martin continues to create raw, authentic and unflinching country music. “Rather Be The Fire” follows his recently released “Tug O’ War,” which is currently climbing country radio, and previews more new music expected in the months ahead.

Martin recently wrapped his We Ride Down Under Tour in Australia and is back on the road with a nationwide headlining run, bringing his live show to cities including Nashville, Louisville, Portland and more. He’ll make appearances at Bourbon & Beyond 2026, Runaway Country Music Festival, Lebanon Strawberry Festival and more.
