Caamp Shares “Mistakes” And “Fairview Feeling” – The Final Preview Of Upcoming Album, Copper Changes Color, Out June 6

Double single release comes on the heels of the band’s fourth #1 at AAA Radio, “Let Things Go”

2025 United States tour kicks off in Austin, TX on May 29, includes sold-out shows at New York City’s Radio City Music Hall, Chicago’s Salt Shed, Nashville’s Ascend Amphitheater & more

Today (5.9), Caamp shares two singles from its upcoming fifth studio album, Copper Changes Color, out June 6 via Mom+Pop Music. The two tracks – the tender, moody “Fairview Feeling” juxtaposed with the breezy “Mistakes” – offer a fitting final preview of the band’s most adventurous album to date, which is both a reflection on growth and evolution and a celebration of the dreams and bonds that endure.

The mesmerizing, introspective “Fairview Feeling,” which the band recorded at El Paso’s Sonic Ranch, makes peace with life’s imperfections. “Mistakes,” inspired by frontman and primary songwriter Taylor Meier’s time in New York City, urges a romantic partner to lay all the cards on the table. Both tracks were co-produced with Beatriz Artola (Fleet Foxes, Sharon Van Etten), with the latter recorded at New York’s Sear Sound.

The 11-track Copper Changes Color – written, performed, and produced by the band, with recording and co-production by Artola and Tucker Martine (Modest Mouse, My Morning Jacket, R.E.M.) – finds the breakout Midwestern band pushing their sound to new heights, infusing their infectious brand of modern folk music with an electrifying dose of indie rock energy. The songs are raw and vulnerable, alternating between effervescent anthems and dreamy, pensive meditations, and the performances are honest and intuitive to match, fueled by the undeniable chemistry between Meier and his bandmates, multi-instrumentalist co-founder Evan WestfallMatt Vinson (bass), Joseph Kavalec (keys) and Nicholas Falk (drums). Last month, Caamp shared the album’s poignant first single, “Drive,” rooted in the intimate, introspective qualities fans have come to love.

This week, "Let Things Go" -- off the band's Somewhere EP -- hit #1 on both Billboard's Adult Alternative Airplay chart and Mediabase’s Adult Alternative Airplay chart, marking the band’s fourth #1 single.

Founded in Athens, OH, Caamp rocketed to early acclaim with their self-titled 2016 debut, which garnered the band their first gold single. Since then, the group has racked up more than 2.5 billion streams; topped the Billboard Heatseekers chart; topped the Americana Albums chart, sold out multiple nights from Red Rocks to Radio City; headlined Columbus’ Nationwide Arena; received praise from the likes of NPR, Relix, SPIN and more; and performed on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and CBS Saturday Morning.
