Caleb Elliott has returned with the latest preview of his sophomore album Weed, Wine and Time, which comes April 14 via Single Lock Records. The album's title track finds the Muscle Shoals musician radiating with an outlook that's both easygoing and blissful - finding peace in the hard-fought perspective he's earned along the way. "Music is fun, if you aren’t having fun you’re probably doing it wrong. Things like fear of rejection can be paralyzing and suck the joy out of it," Caleb reflects. "I sort of reached a tipping point of stress and had to shift my thinking. Focus on being thankful for every opportunity and not taking it all so seriously. I remember chuckling to myself the whole way through writing this song. It was so much fun to write."

Caleb recently sat down with Under The Radar to discuss "Weed, Wine and Time" - in a conversation that dives into the lessons he's learned as a go-to session player, how he's continued to grow as a songwriter and performer since his 2019 debut, and the artists that most inspire his work. Under The Radar has also shared the official music video for "Weed, Wine and Time," directed by Lee Taylor, which follows Caleb and his close friends through the joy of a carefree summer day: https://www.undertheradarmag.com/news/premiere_caleb_elliott_shares_new_single_weed_wine_time

"Elliott’s honeyed vocals rest upon an intricate web of guitars, drums, and flickering melodies, settling gently into the band’s effortless sun-lit groove. It’s the sort of song that is seemingly tailor-made for the early days of spring, when the cold and dark finally give way to warm comforts." - Under The Radar

An artist who (perhaps unexpectedly) made his name on the cello, Elliott is joined on the new album by many friends he's met from his musical journeys including Alabama Shakes' Ben Tanner and Zac Cockrell, John Paul White, Seratones' AJ Haynes and Maggie Rose. The album was co-produced by Elliott and Tanner, and will be released via Muscle Shoals' own Single Lock Records - whose recent accomplishments include four GRAMMY nominations in the past two years, their first-ever GRAMMY win, and a pair of 2022 A2IM Libera awards. Single Lock celebrates its tenth year anniversary in 2023, with Weed, Wine and Timeserving as the label's first release to kick off the festivities.

Elliott will be taking Weed, Wine and Time on the road later this year - including just-announced album release shows in Florence, AL and Nashville - with a full list of dates to be announced soon (details below).
