Carole King Earns GRAMMY nomination in Best Song Written for Visual Media category for “Here I Am (Singing My Way Home)”

Four-time GRAMMY winner Carole King earned her 9th GRAMMY nomination today for “Here I Am (Singing My Way Home)” in the Best Song Written for Visual Media category, the song she co-wrote for this year’s Aretha Franklin biopic RESPECT along with Jennifer Hudson and Jamie Hartman (Lewis Capaldi, Christina Aguilera). GRAMMY Award-winning Black Eyed Peas co-founder and mega-producer will.i.am produced the track.

In addition to her four GRAMMY wins, Carole King has had three works inducted into the GRAMMY Hall of Fame, and has been honored by the Recording Academy with a Lifetime Achievement Award (2013) and a Trustees Award with Gerry Goffin (2004). Beautiful: The Carole King Musical won the GRAMMY for Best Musical Theater Album in 2015. King has also been a Kennedy Center Honoree (2015), MusiCares Person of the Year (2014), the first female recipient of the Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song (2013), and just last month was inducted as a performer into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
