Tonight at the GRAMMYs, Cecile McLorin Salvant won the award for Best Jazz Vocal Album for her acclaimed 2015 release 'For One To Love' (Mack Avenue). This is the 26 year-old Salvant's first Grammy and it caps an extraordinary breakout year that included critical praise ("the finest jazz singer to emerge in the last decade" - New York Times), being named Best Vocal Release in the NPR Jazz Critics Poll, an interview with Terry Gross for Fresh Air, and a performance on The Tavis Smiley Show.
