Chartmetric--Music Industry's Leading Business Intelligence Tool--Names Music Business Veteran Andreas Katsambas President - Strategy, Marketing & Operations

August 11, 2021---Music industry veteran Andreas Katsambas has been named President - Strategy, Marketing & Operations at Chartmetric. With bases in New York, Silicon Valley and London, Chartmetric is a leading data analytics and business intelligence resource serving the entertainment industry.

Chartmetric Founder & CEO Sung Cho said, "We are thrilled to welcome Andreas to our team. He is joining the company at a pivotal moment, as we scale and grow. Andreas brings to Chartmetric his extensive industry experience, a vast network, humility, and a great work ethic--also making him a great role model for our employees."

Katsambas said, "I have an extensive background in working directly with artists. Earlier in my career, we always looked for the best options to develop their careers on a global scale through as many mediums as possible. Many of the opportunities came through data that helped us pinpoint the best areas to tackle for quick results, but Chartmetric has developed the best process for putting data together. Sung Cho and the rest of the team have created an app that can benefit anyone in the music industry. The great amount of data it consolidates from multiple sources provides a full spectrum of insights for millions of artists. It has lately been my go-to app, so I'm very excited to be joining such a great organization. With new Chartmetric features in the works, I look forward to bringing more value to artists and those who work toward their success."

From 2017-21, Katsambas held senior positions at BMG, most recently as Executive Vice President leading BMG's development in Latin America and Canada, where he oversaw 30 releases achieving diamond (a first for the company), platinum, or gold sales status. He joined the company as a Senior VP, overseeing all international releases for North American artists.

In 2000, Katsambas founded The End Records, an independent New York-based record label focused on rock, metal, indie rock, and electronic music. The End signed and developed successful artists including Lemonheads, Badly Drawn Boy, and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees The Zombies. The label was acquired by BMG in 2016, and Katsambas transitioned to an executive role at BMG while maintaining his CEO position with The End.

Katsambas was born in Cyprus and holds dual citizenship in Cyprus and the USA. He earned a bachelor's degree in business and management from Alliant International University in California and, in 2021, completed the Harvard Business School General Management Program.
