Chelou Announces First-Ever US Headlining Tour

The effortlessly cool Camden-born enigma is set to bring his "glistening psych-pop lava lamp" (Billboard) across the pond

(New York, NY) London-based psych-pop enigma Chelou has announced a U.S. fall tour, his first-ever headlining run. The phenom, who's gone from crafting soul-tinged DIY soundscapes in his home to playing Glastonbury Music Festival, kicks off the bicoastal tour in September at Brooklyn venue Baby's All Right, culminating at The Moroccan Lounge in Los Angeles.

The tour will see the trippy alt-rocker on the rise playing cuts spanning initial lo-fi efforts, including bedroom-produced debut 'The Quiet,' single "Halfway to Nowhere" and his full-length LP, 'Out Of Sight' (Concrete Dog Records). Infamously reclusive but garnering a following since 2015 for his ethereal guitars and effervescent voice—strained as if through the lens of a dream—this dream-pop purveyor is set to mesmerize indie fans throughout the US.

Described by Billboard as a "glistening psych pop lava lamp," the 12-song collection is a sentimental pastiche of the homegrown artist's inner voice, touching on personal themes of belonging, trust, connection, and self-discovery. Chelou emerges from his public reclusion with an album whose sonic clarity and lyrical sincerity speak to his aim of touching audiences' hearts.

Inspired by acts as diverse as PJ Harvey, Bon Iver, and James Blake, Chelou’s two earlier self-produced EPs were covered by The Wall Street Journal, Dazed Digital, i-D, and Radio 1’s DJ Annie Mac.
