Classical California Announces The Return Of "Classical Sundays” In Partnership With California’s Iconic Outdoor Ice Rinks In Downtown LA, Santa Monica, And San Francisco 

Classical California Brings Christmas To The Ice — Skate To The Sounds Of The Season With America’s Largest Listener-Supported Classical Music Network.

Wednesday, November 12th – Classical California is announcing the anticipated return of “Classical Sundays,” a unique winter partnership with three of California’s most iconic outdoor ice rinks: Union Square in San Francisco, Pershing Square in Downtown Los Angeles, and Ice at Santa Monica. Classical Sundays invites families, friends, and music lovers of all backgrounds to experience the holidays through sound and movement with classical music and ice skating.

At the heart of this initiative is Classical California’s mission to enrich lives and communities with accessible, innovative music experiences. By bringing classical music to public spaces and city centers, Classical Sundays embodies the organization’s commitment to making classical music feel welcoming, joyful, and relevant for everyone.

SAN FRANCISCO - The Safeway Holiday Ice Rink at Union Square

Season Dates: November 5, 2025 – January 19, 2026

Opening Celebration: Wednesday, November 5, 5–7 p.m.

Classical Sundays: Every Sunday at 10:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.

Hours: Daily 10 a.m. – 11 p.m. (closing at 9:30 p.m. on Dec 31)

Tickets: $22 general admission, $17 for children under 8 (includes skate rental)

Opening Celebration: Thursday, November 20 (evening)
