Comedy Dynamics To Release New Box Set, Timeless, From Elayne Boosler, The First Female To Have A Comedy Special, On August 31, 2018

LOS ANGELES, CA – Elayne Boosler’s comedy special compilation, Timeless, will be released by Comedy Dynamics on August 31, 2018 on DVD/CD and on the Comedy Dynamics Network.

The boxed set, entitled Timeless will include Party of One, the special Elayne funded herself in 1986. Also included are Broadway Baby (1987), Top Tomata (1989), and Live Nude Girls (1991), each in its own way groundbreaking and funny for all time. As a bonus, Elayne’s new album, The 50/50 Club, recorded live around the country, rounds out the set.

Boosler was the first woman comic to ever receive a stand-up special on television when Showtime aired her debut special, Party of One. She is best known for her thoughtful and feisty socially conscious humor. For over forty years, she has appeared on seemingly every talk show ever on TV, has written and starred in five of her own one-hour Showtime standup comedy specials, written and directed two movies for Cinemax, and has hosted innumerable specials, series, and events.

“Yes, I was the first female standup comic to have a cable special. The political jokes in these specials could have been written today. That’s how slowly things change - great for me, bad for us. I am so incredibly excited to get this boxed set out!” said Elayne Boosler, the comedian, herself.
