COMEDY DYNAMICS WILL PRODUCE AND RELEASE THE FIRST NEW JERKY BOYS ALBUM IN ALMOST 25 YEARS

The Jerky Boys franchise is considered a pioneer of sketch comedy and improvisation using prank phone calls as a platform. The calls were made by ringing up unsuspecting recipients or in response to classified advertisements placed in local new York-based newspapers, all the calls were made in character. The outlandish characters were based on Brennan’s immediate family and acquaintances from his childhood. With a seemingly endless roster of diverse characters including the infamous Frank Rizzo, the neurotic Sol Rosenberg and the flamboyant Jack Tors, The Jerky Boys have sold millions of CDs and were Grammy-nominated. Also winning NARM two years in a row for best album back-to-back for Jerky Boys 1 and 2.

Rolling Stone magazine referred to The Jerky Boys contribution to the Comedy world as “The calls that change comedy.” They went on to ad “The Jerky Boys turned prank calling into a funny, filthy art form selling millions of albums and inspiring today’s crop of improvisational authenticity seeking comedy Stars.”

Johnny Brennan has appeared in other TV and film roles, including Space Ghost Coast to Coast co-starring as the “Chief” in “Big Money Hustlas” and also in the Emmy-nominated Fox TV’s Family Guy where he created and voices the character Mort Goldman, voicing others as well.
