Dalton & the Sheriffs, the Boston country-rock collective that’s “taking the country world by storm” (Metro), release their new EP, ‘Luckier by Half,’ on May 31st. The half-dozen songs on the hard-touring band’s latest release match the muscular drive and openhearted intensity of their storied live sets.

‘Luckier by Half’ takes its name from a line in the EP’s first single, “Cheap Seats” — an anthem for the dedicated fans and dreamers who go to every show and sing along to every song.

‘Luckier by Half’ also contains songs both inspired by co-written by frontman Brian Scully and his high-school sweetheart and wife, Kate. Inspired the three kids they’re raising together (“Song for the Next Few Years”), as well as life on the road and the roots of home (“Boston”). The independent EP is the five-piece group’s first release since their debut live album, ‘After the Parade,’ cracked four Billboard Country and Heatseeker charts in 2018.

Dalton & the Sheriffs continue their remarkable rise from three-hour sets in the barrooms of Boston to national stages such as CMA Music Fest with a full spring and summer touring schedule that takes their rousing live show to more of the US than ever before — and even to the UK in June. Jon Silva (lead guitar), James Zaner (drums), Sam Bouve (bass) and Ryan Jackson (keys/guitars) team with Scully — a former Boston Bruins reporter and Boston middle school educator — to deliver Americana-fueled country rock. Always good for a draw, Dalton & The Sheriffs have earned their own headline following throughout New England have been chosen to open for artists such as Sam Hunt, Jason Aldean & Thomas Rhett, and Old Dominion.
