2x GRAMMY-winner Daniel Tashian, who fell in love with writing holiday music after meeting Christmas music mogul Johnny Marks at age six, has written holiday music for artists like Kacey Musgraves, Tim McGraw, Tenille Townes, Jessie James Decker and more. Today (11.5), Tashian shares five new Christmas songs on 'It’s A Snow Globe World’ (Big Yellow Dog Music) in collaboration with Rita Wilson, Karen Elson, Patty Griffin and Sarah Buxton.

‘It’s A Snow Globe World’ which was co-written and produced entirely by Tashian, channels the timeless charm of Christmas classics with an edge. The piano-driven “Christmas In The Heart feat. Rita Wilson” draws on the warm nostalgia of the holidays, while “Christmas Lights feat. Karen Elson” hones in on holiday romance. “Snow Globe World feat. Patty Griffin” offers a late-night jazz cocktail feel, while “Santa’s Magic Sleigh feat. Sarah Buxton” pivots with a mellow disco melody. Tashian concludes the EP with a rocking solo track called "Party at Rudolph’s.”

Tashian has spent a lifetime writing holiday music but it just scratches the surfaces of his versatile music making abilities. In the past three years, he won an Album of the Year GRAMMY for co-writing and co-producing Kacey Musgraves’ ‘Golden Hour’ album, he co-wrote and co-produced her new ’star-crossed’ album, he co-wrote with 8x GRAMMY winner and 3x Academy Award winner Burt Bacharach for their GRAMMY-nominated ‘Blue Umbrella’ EP, he co-produced Brett Eldredge’s ’Sunday Drive’ album (2020) and Birdy’s ‘Young Heart’ album (2021), he released a GRAMMY-nominated children’s album called ‘I Love Rainy Days’ followed up by his National Parenting Product Award-winning children’s album ‘Mr. Moonlight,’ and he has much more down the pipeline for the coming year.
