Tis’ the season with Debbie Gibson with her first ever holiday album, ‘Winterlicious,’ out now via her own label Stargirl Records. This 11th studio album, much like the diva herself, is full of range and diversity. Ranging from a mix of sparkling originals and beautiful reimagined covers, Gibson has enlisted her dream team to create an album that is sure to become a holiday classic. Rolling Stone stated, “‘Winterlicious’ caps an amazing year for Gibson."

Gibson enlisted her dream team of collaborators on this project, including Sean Thomas (The Body Remembers/Hallmark), Fred Coury (Cinderella/Emmy award winning composer/producer), Joey Melotti (Barry Manilow), Joey Finger (Donny & Marie), and musicians Lydia Ansel (electric violin) and indie artist BONZIE (accordion) who she discovered while vinyl shopping at Rough Trade with the New York Times. It also features a magical collaboration with her pop soulmate Joey McIntyre, who co-wrote the new holiday anthem "Heartbreak Holiday" for those missing that special someone during the holidays. Gibson’s Daddy Joe joins her on a stunning new rendition of “White Christmas” and her infectious, up-tempo, original song “Christmas Star,” which came out in 2021, is also included.

Winterclicious’ embodies classic music stylings - playing host to a 36-piece orchestra on “Let it Snow '' and Gibson’s self penned future classic “The Gift.” ‘Winterlicious’ also has a flurry of songs that are at home in the modern musical landscape with newstalgic songs like “Jingle Those Bells,” which show Gibson as a savvy song craftswoman who bridges the gap between the melodic stylings of Ronnie Spector and current pop bangers. “Illuminate” is one of very few new, original Hanukkah songs and Gibson felt intent on creating a spiritually uplifting song that speaks to tradition and the power of faith. The rousing Latin flavored big band medley of “Jingle Bell Rock” and “The Christmas Song” will get everyone on their feet.

Gibson rarely finds a new original that she didn't write to call her own, but she found that in longtime friend Sylvia MacCalla's "I Wish Everyday Was Christmas," which so brilliantly captures her voice and spirit. Gibson's version of "Sleigh Ride" celebrates the 30th anniversary of its release with a remastered version and proceeds will continue to benefit Special Olympics. Lastly, we can ALL raise a glass to our loved ones near and far with the New Years Eve themed “Cheers,” a profound look at what really matters in life during these chaotic times.

Last year, Gibson released her long-awaited 10th studio album ‘The Body Remembers’ - her first in 20 years - marking a new chapter for Gibson on her own label Stargirl Records. It is filled with a mix of modern pop hooks and upbeat club bangers along with melodic newstalgic tracks that pay homage to her earlier music. ‘The Body Remembers’ represents all things Debbie: empowerment, living your best life, and staying #EternallyElectric. Rob Sheffield from Rolling Stone stated that "Gibson paved the way for today’s young female chart-toppers, from Billie Eilish to Olivia Rodrigo."

In June, she embarked on a solo, critically acclaimed, 15-city U.S. tour of ‘The Body Remembers.’ “Gibson has always recorded and performed on her own terms, and last night's show definitely had the imprint of an artist in control of her craft.” - Houston Press

ABOUT DEBBIE GIBSON

Singer, songwriter, actress and producer Debbie Gibson was born in Brooklyn and raised in Long Island, NY. Her 1987 debut album, Out of the Blue, went triple-platinum and launched her unparalleled career at the age of 16. The album’s single “Foolish Beat” made Gibson the youngest artist to write, produce, and perform a #1 track on the Billboard Hot 100—she is still the youngest female to do so, to date. As the sole composer on each of her Top 20 singles, Gibson was recognized by ASCAP as Songwriter of the Year in 1989. She has sold more than 16 million albums worldwide and released 11 studio albums and five compilations. She continues to score chart-topping tracks, including 2020’s #VegasVibe Remix from “Girls Night Out (Tracy Young Remixes),” which hit No. 4 on the Billboard Dance Club chart and UK Music Week singles charts, and 2022’s “One Step Closer (Remixes),” which reached No. 3 on the Swiss dance charts and landed at No. 8 on the Commercial Pop MusicWeek chart in the UK. Her new album The Body Remembers promptly shot up to No. 2 on the Apple Pop Charts and achieved one million streams in its first month. Most recently, she celebrated the 35th anniversary of her debut album Out of the Blue with three sold out shows in New York City.

As a successful actress, Gibson debuted in Les Miserables on Broadway in 1992 and played Sandy in Grease on London’s West End in 1993. She performed in 17 musicals in 17 years, including the roles of Belle in Disney’s Beauty and the Beastand Sally Bowles in the Broadway revival of Cabaret with Neil Patrick Harris. On television, she has competed on “Dancing with the Stars,” produced/starred in “Summer of Dreams” and its sequel “Wedding of Dreams for the Hallmark Channel, and appeared in Season 5B of the popular Netflix series “Lucifer,” in a special musical episode entitled “Bloody Celestial Karaoke Jam,” and most recently appeared on CBS’s “Secret Celebrity Renovation” with hosts Nishcelle Turner, Boston Rob and Sabrina Soto. Gibson’s latest film “The Class” with Anthony Michael Hall, Charlie Gillespie (Julie and the Phantoms), Lyric Ross (This is Us), Hanna Kepple (Cobra Kai), Colin McCalla (Ruthless), written and directed by Nicholas Celozzi is out now.
