GRAMMY Nominee’s Latest Track Drops Today: LISTEN HERE

Featured on 14-Track Sophomore Album,The Girl Has a Dream,’ Due June 30

Today (6.2), DIAMOND-certified master of moody songcraft, Delacey, takes a deep dive into the darkest spaces of her mind through her new, poignant track, ‘Things I’d Save in a Fire,’ out now. The haunting tune, which she began writing during a mid-flight anxiety attack, finds the GRAMMY-nominated songwriter more raw and unfiltered than ever before, as she explores the reality of living with anxiety – and the crippling thoughts that come with it.

“Things I’d Save In a Fire started with a plane ride,” Delacey says. “I was having an anxiety attack, and I looked over at a lovely girl sitting near me, who was so peaceful – she was reading, sleeping, laughing, painting her nails, just having a great time. I had a weird moment of heartbreak for myself, realizing how much of my happiness is robbed by my anxiety. I know I have been through a lot in my life, and sometimes I feel like I attract chaos and tragedy. It left me wondering if she ever feels that way.”

“Things I’d Save in a Fire” is the latest taste of what’s to come from Delacey’s forthcoming sophomore album, ‘The Girl Has A Dream,’ which arrives on June 30 and is available for pre-save now here. The 14-track project serves as a lush, unfiltered and unapologetic journey through Delacey’s thoughts, desires, dreams and insecurities, with each track finding real-life inspiration – from bad therapy sessions to gut-wrenching heartbreaks, and even death.

This new track follows in the footsteps of previously-released previews from the forthcoming album, including her pop-infused love lament, “The End,” an otherworldly look into a broken relationship titled “Man On The Moon,” and an equally-compelling, dreamy, mid-tempo ode to pure heartache “One Mississippi.”
