Dreamland Festival Canceled Due to COVID-19 Concerns
Due to the recent actions of Travis County officials, along with recommendations from the CDC and other health authorities, we must sadly confirm the cancellation of Dreamland 2020 due to COVID-19 concerns.
Dreamland is a weekend celebrating music, art, food, ideas & the American promise that ties them all together. The first-of-its-kind festival was set to take place in Austin on May 2 and May 3, 2020. The experience, centered around the concept of “The American Dream”, was scheduled to include headlining performance by indie-roots band Dispatch and additional performances by Alejandro Escovedo, Atash, Bob Schneider & His Band, Carolyn Wonderland, Del Castillo, Ian Moore, Jesse Dayton, Kalu & The Electric Joint, Mélat, Oliver Rajamani, Shinyribs, and Úlla.
Dreamland is a non-profit initiative made possible by generous organizations, artists and sponsors that support the vision for an America united through shared experience. The festival was conceptualized by Steve Kuhn, Founder of IDEAL (Immigration Designed to Enhance American Lives), crafted as not only two unforgettable nights of live music but to act as a balm for the divisive rhetoric that often surrounds discussions about immigration in America.
Please be sure to take care of yourselves, your family and your communities as we all struggle through these uncertain times.
We look forward to coming back strong with Dreamland 2021 and hope you join us.
