Dylan Chambers Announces RetroFuturistic Pop Debut EP For Your Listening Pleasure! Out May 17th
Shares Lead Single Co-Written with Aldae (Miley Cyrus, Khalid, John Legend)Watch Dylan Turn a Nursing Home into a Nightclub in “High (When I’m Low)” Video Featuring LunchMoney Lewis and Dave Koz
Today, Dylan Chambers — the burgeoning Los Angeles-based pop-soul singer-songwriter — announces the May 17th release of For Your Listening Pleasure!, his debut EP. Throughout the EP’s seven tracks, Chambers utilizes his retro funk lean as a jumping-off point into a technicolor soul-pop present.
Alongside the EP announcement, Chambers shares the euphoric clap-along lead single “High (When I’m Low)” feat. LunchMoney Lewis and Dave Koz. Four years in the making, the track brings together this unlikely grouping to create an infectiously groovy tune that bounds from funky strumming to Chambers' clean falsetto. Co-written with Aldae, known for his work with artists such as Miley Cyrus, Khalid, and John Legend, and produced by Stefan Lit (Andy Grammer, Boyz II Men), the track serves as a joyous escape.
Describing why he chose Koz and Lewis to accompany him on the track Chambers says:
“I’m super grateful to Lunch and Dave for jumping on it with me. I’ve been a fan of Lunch ever since he dropped his ‘Bills’ EP in 2015. I met Dave years ago when I was playing in the house band at his restaurant in Beverly Hills. He’s championed my solo career ever since and even officiated my wedding last year. I don’t think anyone would expect the three of us to wind up on a track together which is why this collaboration is so unique and special to me, personally.”
The music video for 'High (When I’m Low)' embodies Chambers’ feel-good spirit. Directed by Justin Frick (Allen Stone, Joseph), the video follows the trio as they inject irreverent energy into a bingo game, exuding joy and vibrancy throughout. For Your Listening Pleasure! features an eclectic mix of tracks showcasing Dylan’s versatile and soulful style. From the smoky, low-tempo love declarations of "I Can Never Get Enough" to the burst of openhearted enthusiasm in "Let’s Keep On Dancing," each song offers a unique experience. "You Gotta Respect Yourself!" serves as the ultimate pump-up track, while "Mystical and Paranoid" brings a bluesy jam session featuring G. Love and Special Sauce. "Don’t Give Up On My Love" delves into disco rock, and "Comin’ Up" emerges as the standout track with perhaps the biggest hook of the EP.
