Eclipso NYC Unveils “Life Chronicles”: An Immersive Expedition Into Earth’s History

Co-Produced By Excurio And The Muséum D’histoire Naturelle In France

NEW YORK, NY - Eclipso NYC, the city’s premier destination for virtual reality, is thrilled to announce the arrival of: Life Chronicles. This immersive VR journey through the history of life on Earth is the latest addition to Eclipso’s acclaimed lineup, including Horizon of Khufu and Tonight with the Impressionists: Paris 1874. Life Chronicles will open to the public on June 17, 2025, bringing an awe-inspiring exploration of evolution and biodiversity to the heart of Manhattan.

Produced by leading VR innovator Excurio, Life Chronicles was developed in collaboration with France’s Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle, with every detail validated by more than 30 experts—including paleontologists, paleobotanists, specialists in evolution, and even bioacousticians. This 45-minute expedition offers a deep dive into the history of Earth and all living things, tracing over 3.5 billion years of evolution through immersive virtual reality. Equal parts entertaining and educational, Life Chronicles invites audiences age 8 and up to become active participants in the story of life itself.

LIFE CHRONICLES: AN UNPRECEDENTED JOURNEY

Previously launched in Paris, London, Lyon, Bordeaux, and most recently Atlanta, Life Chronicles blends scientific research with cutting-edge technology to create a powerful, collective journey through Earth’s evolutionary timeline. Visitors are equipped with free-roaming VR headsets, enabling them to move freely while fully immersed in high-quality environments that recreate key moments in the history of life.

“We’re excited to bring Life Chronicles to New York City,” said Antoine Lieutaud, CEO of Eclipso. “It’s more than just a journey through the past; it’s an invitation to see the story of life on Earth unfold and actively participate in the planet’s extraordinary history, all through virtual reality.”

“We're proud to bring Life Chronicles to New York,” said Fabien Barati, CEO and co-founder of Excurio. “This experience is the result of years of close collaboration with leading scientists and creatives, and invites people to connect with the incredible story of life on our planet in a compelling, memorable way."
