Eddy Arnold's "Will Santa Come To Shanty Town" Reimagined By BR549's Chuck Mead. Out Dec. 4th On Plowboy's Records

Debut Holiday Single From New Nashville Label, Produced By Cheetah Chrome
Country Music Hall of Famer Eddy Arnold, The Tennessee Plowboy, co-wrote "Will Santa Come To Shanty Town" based on his own childhood. He grew up poor, the son of a sharecropper, in rural TN. It's one of the sadder holiday songs - "For we don't have a fireplace or a chimney in our shack. Like the other lucky children have, who live across the track" - but BR549's Chuck Mead and his Grassy Knoll Boys put an irresistibly merry touch on thisversion, the first holiday single from new Nashville Plowboy Records.

The track was produced by punk legend Cheetah Chrome, who's also working on an Eddy Arnold tribute album to be released by Plowboy in spring 2013.
