Elvis Costello has earned his sixteenth GRAMMY nomination for his acclaimed 2022 album with his band The Imposters, The Boy Named If (EMI, with Capitol Records as the release partner in the US), in the Best Rock Album category.

Costello is a GRAMMY-winner for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album for 2020’s Look Now, and Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals for the 1998 song "I Still Have That Other Girl,” from his album with Burt Bacharach, ‘Painted From Memory.'

Both Look Now and The Boy Named If were co-produced with Sebastian Krys.

The Boy Named If is Costello and The Imposters' latest full-length album of urgent, immediate songs with bright melodies, guitar solos that sting and a quick step to the rhythm.

Costello said, ”The full title of this record is The Boy Named If (And Other Children’s Stories).  ‘IF,’ is a nickname for your imaginary friend; your secret self, the one who knows everything you deny, the one you blame for the shattered crockery and the hearts you break, even your own.
